1. Grease and oils – cooking oils and fats will solidify when cool, causing a blockage in your pipes. Dispose of by allowing to cool in a bowl and then scraping into kitchen roll and throwing in the bin
2. Coffee grounds – can settle in the u-bend and cause a blockage. Dispose of by pouring onto garden or add to a compost heap.
3. Eggshells – can settle in the u-bend and the jagged edge will snag other materials to cause a blockage. Dispose of by putting in the bin or add to a compost heap.
4. Flour – forms a glue-like paste which will stick to your drains and cause a blockage. Dispose of by scraping into a bin.
5. Food scraps – will settle in the u-bend and accumulate to cause a blockage. Dispose of by scraping into a bin.
